"The color can be extremely beautiful, but sometimes it just doesn't match with the court at all, which messes up the whole thing," she says. Most important, though, is for the color of the outfit to match both the color of the court and the venue. She knows Wimbledon also provides a chance for all-white gear, so she "loves all the possible colors you can imagine" the rest of the year. "I love being part of creating different things, especially when I have a great team of professionals around me that help," she says. While being stylish is "something you are born with," she has plenty of opinions, especially when it comes to color and fit. "Tennis is a sport where you move a lot from side to side," she says, "when you run and sweat, it has to be free enough to not restrict my movements." Playing so often in warm conditions, she craves thin, breathable materials. On the court, Kostyuk says she doesn't want to feel like she's wearing something heavy. I feel like I am a good one to provide feedback and work on specific details in the clothing to make it better and better." "I want things to be comfortable, to be practical, to look beautiful," she says, "and I want to help people who are going to wear Wilson apparel feel comfortable as well. She believes her feedback can help others. I’m like, "Okay, for 15 minutes I can be as frustrated as I can but then after that it's over.” I have to find a way.Marta Kostyuk will wear pieces from Wilson's Sportswear line along with custom-made options. But this is one of the rules I try to follow. And obviously some losses it works, some it doesn't. I think it's very important to deal with your emotions by the end of the day so you wake up the next day feeling like it's a fresh start- new life, kind of. Obviously this is something I had to learn the best, I'd say. I don't think there is any other sport that you lose in as much as you lose in tennis. Marta: I mean dealing with loss I think is one of the biggest challenges out there. I think this is something that is easier to learn when you are under pressure… You have to stay in line and you have to be focused. And obviously when I was younger, it would upset me a lot more than today. And you kind of have to accept it and try your best with what you have today. Because in tennis most of the days are unfortunately not perfect- they're not good. Marta: Being a tennis player, I have learned to get used to bad days. Wilson: What have you learned being a tennis player? But when people look at me I want them to see that all the struggles and everything bad that is happening eventually ends and there is a good part in life that happens.
